Your Body Is Talking
Your body has been trying to tell you something. The headaches that have become normal. The tension in your shoulders that you do not even notice anymore. The brain fog that descends every afternoon at 2pm like clockwork. These are not inconveniences. They are signals.
Three signs you are overdue for rest: your fuse is shorter than usual, small things are triggering disproportionate reactions. You cannot focus for more than fifteen minutes without reaching for your phone. You are physically present but mentally somewhere else in almost every interaction.
Most people experience all three simultaneously and still convince themselves they are fine. We have normalized the symptoms of chronic exhaustion to the point where being depleted feels like being normal. When your baseline is exhaustion, you forget what rested even feels like.
Your body does not lie. It cannot. The signals it sends are not negotiable. You can ignore them, medicate them, caffeinate through them, but you cannot make them untrue. The headache is real. The fog is real. The short fuse is real. And all of them are your body saying the same thing: you need to stop.
Be honest: how many of these signs are you experiencing right now? Not theoretically. Right now, in your actual body. Drop the number. No judgment. Just awareness. Because awareness is always the first step toward change.
