Block One Hour
Block one hour on your calendar right now. Not a productive hour. Not a planning hour. Not an hour that serves next week's goals. An hour that belongs entirely to you, for no reason other than the fact that you deserve time that is not spoken for.
The world will not stop. Your inbox will not explode. The project will not fail. One hour of your week, claimed for rest, will cost you nothing and give you everything. But you have to block it before the weekend fills up without your consent, because it will.
We live in a culture of calendar creep. Every free hour is a target. If you do not protect your rest proactively, reactively it will always lose to the next urgent request. The urgent always devours the important unless the important has a fence around it.
This is not a suggestion. It is a practice. Every week, before the week begins, block time that is non-negotiable. Label it whatever you need to so nobody books over it. Call it a meeting. Call it a commitment. Call it sacred. Because it is.
What would you do with one protected hour this weekend? Not what should you do. What would you do if nobody was watching and nobody was judging? That is your rest assignment. Block it now. Before you close this post.
